News of the World (NOTW) is the Fox News of Britain and it is also owned by Rupert Murdoch NOTW has a long standing record of fighting the liberal disease in England, specially within the family, it was suspected that communists were trying to infiltrate the royals to undermine the British Monarchy. Because of their tireless effort to stop communism NOTW was rewarded for stopping the communist crisis but the hunt was not over, NOTW decided they needed to monitor communist activities on the citizens of the British island which included politicians, celebrities, and flying magical nannies.

After two issues the project became inactive yet was revived in the July of the same year, coinciding with the revival of the Albion party. It continues to be published bi-weekly in Rome by Albion Publications, with contributions from around the globe. It was preceded by the LondonCalling newspaper, which ceased production in early 2010.

Containing the hit songs "We Will Rock You", "We Are the Champions" and "Spread Your Wings", it went 4x platinum in the United States, 2x platinum in the United Kingdom and achieved high certifications around the world. News of the World was the second album to be produced solely by the band (the first being A Day at the Races) and recorded at Sarm West and Wessex Studios, London and co-produced and engineered by Mike Stone.
