The Bosh-Garratt slavers was a name applied to a group of slavers operating in the Bosh-Garratt swamps on Deshad in 153 and 154 ABY. Composed entirely of Zykeds, the group operated by sending raiding parties to Zyked villages around the swamp chain. They usually focused on abducting young Zykeds, although adults were sometimes taken alive when it was feasible; those who fished or farmed out in the swamps away from civilization were particularly vulnerable. In addition to taking slaves, the group was also responsible for a number of murders, usually local police or creche mothers attempting to defend their young.

abstract	The Bosh-Garratt slavers was a name applied to a group of slavers operating in the Bosh-Garratt swamps on Deshad in 153 and 154 ABY. Composed entirely of Zykeds, the group operated by sending raiding parties to Zyked villages around the swamp chain. They usually focused on abducting young Zykeds, although adults were sometimes taken alive when it was feasible; those who fished or farmed out in the swamps away from civilization were particularly vulnerable. In addition to taking slaves, the group was also responsible for a number of murders, usually local police or creche mothers attempting to defend their young. Though rural villages suspected the existence of the group, the villagers were terrified of the group's wrath, and it was only when word made its way to the Royal Corps of Gendarmes that anything was done. The Gendarmes launched an investigation, carefully accumulating evidence and narrowing down likely locations for the slavers' main base. The Gendarme team finally used satellite imagery to locate a derelict ship the slavers were using as a mix of main base and prison compound. Thermal scans confirmed a large number of beings aboard, so the Gendarmes requested the assistance of the Mezlag sector's Emergency Response Team. The ERT in turn requested Centurion backup, and Prefect of the Order of Keltrayu Aria Nikina sent Rajj-Yo and Vos'elk'eetash to assist in the operation. Selkee and Rajj-Yo secured a landing site on the ship; while the ERT sniped the slaver guards, the two Centurions stormed the hold to rescue the prisoners, killing a number of slavers. Survivors of the assault were arrested and transported to Deshad's capital in Gendarme custody to await trial, while the captives aboard the ship were reunited with their village families over a period of several days.
