Originally, it was intended to speed up healing of critical wounds and development of replacement organs (Halo: Flash-Cloning). Due to Project Trojan, millions of gallons of Proraxrem is now used in the process of aging clones by days compared to years for normal Terrans. Side effects the rapid cell division causes include random genetic degradation and the aging process only goes one way. To fix the problem, clones are given Neporeral.
