- Anna II was born in Taunton, Somerset, in 1940, into the wealthy Rosewarne Family, to parents Edward Rosewarne, and the Annabel Rosewarne, which was before the Rosewarnes had become ruling family. Anna II attended Imperial College London, where she studied ancient history and art, later becoming a professor of art in 1963. Following news that the Kingdom of Wessex had succeeded in 1972, and that her family had become the reigning family, she began to undertake public service roles within the monarchy, as daughter of the ceremonial King. In 1973, she met the then, George Davies, whom she later married in 1975, having three children, Iwan, John and Anna III.
