Roger Allers (born c. 1949 in Rye, New York) is an American film director and screenwriter, best known for directing The Lion King. He got his start in animation at TRON creator Steven Lisberger's animation studio. TRON was Aller's very first Disney film. He appears in the 2002 documentary The Making of TRON.
