Even though the player is allowed to use their ammunition box right from the start, it is very ineffective at restoring ammunition to the player or their allies. It takes nearly the full cooldown time of about seven seconds to restore the player's ammunition count, wasting time that they could spend contributing to the team. If the player puts just one training point into this option, the time to restore ammunition is severely reduced to about half of the original cooldown. Further ranks increase the amount of ammunition the box holds and the range at which it can restore ammo by increments of 5%.
