  • Daníel Ágúst Haraldsson is an Icelandic singer. He began his music career as part of the Icelandic group Nýdönsk. After producing five albums together he released an album with electronic rock group Butterflies. He was selected to represent his homeland at the 989 Contest in Lausanne but finished in last place with Nul Points. Post-Contest, he branched out into acting and secured a leading role in the short film "Nautn". Through this, he founded the music project GusGus in 1995 with film director Kinski. This became a big success, selling over 300,000 records and touring worldwide. Five years later, he pursued a solo career as well as writing music for both TV and documentary films as well as composing music for the Iceland Dance company. In 2005, he released his debut studio album and released a self-titled album with the frontman of heavy metal band Minus three years later. During this time, he also rejoined GusGus and they released three studio albums between 2007 and 2011. His second solo album was also released in 2011.
