Bart Thistledown of the West Shore Thistledowns, otherwise known as Barty, was an archer in the Long Patrol of Urthstripe the Strong. He carried many weapons, first seen with two short swords, then a bow, lance and pike. He participated in the defense of Salamandastron when Ferahgo the Assassin and his army of Corpsemakers attacked the mountain. Bart was guarding the mountain when it was breached, using a pike in replacement of his arrows. He was injured and came back to the forge room before going back into the fray along with two other unknown hares to hold the stairwell.
