It began with Cartaginian colony son the Eastern Coast of the Iberian Peninsula and the Romans eventually built up cities and civilization through the entirety of that Peninsula. The cities of the coasts and the Mountains, Forests and Deserts of the Interior of the Coutnry made its governance very stressed. The Hispanians diversity, in people and terrain, led to a great people coming from that Province. Among these were the Emperors Hadrian, Trajan and Jacobus, though the first two were actually from the neighboring Province of Baetica it was considered a client state of Hispania. The Province would not last forever though. During the Interregnum of Discontent from 1205-1212 (452-459 AD) the different tribes of Hispania began to rebel against the Government in Tarraco (Tarragona) and declare their independence. After the end of the Second War for the North the new Emperor Sergius would allow these different ares to be separate Provinces but under his direct control. The Governor which would lead those countries was approved of by the Emperor and ran that country according to the whims of Sergius. The end of Hispania would be the beginning of something much different. A List of Governors of Hispania was not available because during the Wars for Independence on the Iberian peninsula many of these records became casualties alongside the people who kept them. We do know however that the last Governor of Hispania was a man named Serronatus Littumaris Elvorix. He would be the target of much of the criticisms of the revolutionaries.
