Childe Roland to the Dark Tower Came is a poem written by Robert Browning. It was published in 1855 in Browning's Men and Women collection. The name derives from a line in King Lear, written by William Shakespeare. Browning claimed the idea for the poem came fully formed in a dream. It serves as one of Stephen King's main influences for The Dark Tower Series.
