John Woolley (1824 – April 4, 1873) was an American Civil War Union brevet brigadier general. In 1864, due to his previous association with General Lew Wallace, he was made Wallace's provost marshal and was headquartered at Baltimore until 1866. He received his appointment as brevet brigadier general on March 13, 1865. His name is sometimes spelled Wooley.
