- The Pirates are minor enemies in the fifth mission of Metal Slug 4. Despite the fact that their behavior and sprites were recycled from the Arabians (except the swordsman that they won't drop meat upon their death like the Arabian fighter), they have no relation to them whatsoever.
- The following characters are pirates:
* Bluto (on occasion)
* The Sea Hag
* Patcheye
* Davy Jones
* Bernard
* Skom
* Misermites
* Poopdeck Pappy (formerly)
- These unnamed pirates work for Captain Hook. They are fitted with whisks or spoons and frequent The Poison Apple. They have only appeared in Shrek the Third.
- The pirates are major villains in Swiss Family Robinson.
- Pirates are an independent faction present in every match unless specified otherwise in the map creator. Pirates can be used to attack an opposing player via the bounty page, though credits used on the page cannot be reclaimed once added to the bounty. The other players can do this as well. Placing bounties is completely anonymous.
- The Pirates are a unique faction: they are always at war with all factions, and cannot be negotiated with at all. In addition, their unit rosters are completely unique. Unusually for a minor faction, Pirates are playable in multiplayer, though only for naval battles.
- The Pirates are, suprisingly, an organized group of plunderers that operate throughout the entire world. Their most famous operations have taken place in the Caribbean Sea, the Phanta Sea, and more recently, the Somali coast in the Indian Ocean. Pirates traditional operate on by hijacking ships and looting treasure and cargo. Piracy's golden age took place in the 16th-17th century, but Pirates are still active today, primarily in the Phanta Sea and Somali coast. The leader of the Pirates is believed to be Captain Redbeard of Pirate Bay.
- Pirates practice a strange form of chivalry. Though they do not shy away from rape, murder, and arson, they are sworn not to harm children, and to offer them the opportunity of a pirate's life. To break that vow is to walk the plank. The River Orphans is said to be so-named because of the large amount of pirates that are born there to parents, and later orphaned by pirates to become pirates. Pirates call the Sea of Scholars separating Telf from the Estlenner Isles the Maroonedman's Mare.
- A pirate is any person who commits robbery at sea. While piracy is a serious and problematic crime in any time period, modern depictions have glorified the practice, particularly that of the 18th century. They are often depicted as fun and playful, gaining great wealth and fame.
- Pirates are people who commit piracy on the high seas and are also skilled in hand to hand combat and swordplay.
- I like drink pivo. Thanks
- Pirates, the scum and bane of the oceans. These robbers of the high seas travel in frigates loaded with powerful cannons, capable of crippling other ships before they are boarded and plundered. Pirate crews are also just as capable fighters on land as at sea, however. Many of them are wanted criminals with nothing to lose, and all to win, so expect no mercy from them. Fine treasure—or the ship itself—awaits the victors over any pirate crew. Pirates are found on their ships at sea, or near the coast. Buccaneer's Den is also known a notorious pirate haven.
- The pirates are a group of bandits found in Amethyst territory. They were known to raid towns, deal with Grey Guards and attack travelers.
- Pirates, is the name of the campaign that was released on August 16, 2013. The campaign consists of a new furni line, quests, official rooms, effects, and badges.
- Pirates are bands of criminals who taxi people downriver on boats illegally for money. They will often sell people out or force them to pay money or other valuables in exchange for passage downriver. Although the pirates aren't necessarily thought of as the traditional pirates that either pillage or take hostages, they are still very dangerous and are key figures in two of the four Rambo films. The novelization of Rambo: First Blood Part II gives more insight on what exactly the pirates do. Co states that they are drug runners.
- Pirates, defined as 'one who commits or practices piracy' They enforce their own rogue laws everywhere and steal from the Civilians. They buy there ships from the black market. They also have sub-factions.
- DO what you want, because a pirate is free. Pirates took over the wiki on April 1, 2007. ;P We can all celebrate International Talk Like A Pirate Day
- A pirate is a class that Rhubarb can teach the Hero.
- "Pirates" is the fifth song on Y Kant Tori Read's 1988 self-titled debut album.
- Pirates is the fourth installment to the Research Guides collection.
- Pirates was a LEGO theme from 1989 to 1997. It appears as a single Sticker, the Captain Redbeard Sticker, in My LEGO Network.
- The theme was the first to feature LEGO versions of firearms and introduced the first minifigures without the standard smiley-faces as well as specific elements for the construction of large sailing ship models, which were one of the outstanding features of Pirates. Following a long hiatus starting in 1997, the theme was reintroduced in 2009, combining the established look from the past with recent LEGO elements and building styles. In 2015 six new sets were released including a chess set.
- Pirates is a number of multiple gameplay variants for Halo 3, specifically for the Sandtrap and the Elephant . The one main rule is that you are not allowed to touch the ground.
- and may also include the following prosthetics:
* a peg leg

* an eyepatch In case of inability to acquire full pirate regalia, an eyepatch is considered to be the bare minimum and is, as such, accepted.
- Pirates initially cropped up on the forum because of Speak Like A Pirate Day (September 19th), and somehow captured peoples' imaginations. There have been four pirate-based Join Meets (at the time of writing, November 2008), all in Brighton, capital of piracy.
* Brighton Pirate Meet (I)
* Brighton Pirate Meet (II)
* Brighton Pirate Meet (III)
* Brighton Pirate Meet (IV) Another is planned for 2008:
* Brighton Pirate Meet (V)

- (adapted from message by markbursa on Peel newsgroup) Originally a 60s beat combo called Johnny Kidd and the Pirates. Big hits including Shakin' all Over. Kidd was killed in a car crash in 1967, and the band fizzled out. The reformed band started in 1976 as a 3-piece fronted by original guitarist Mick Green, who'd been a top session man in the interim, along with other original members. Gained something of a second wind when they gatecrashed the pre-punk pub-rock scene. Effectively they were a "new" band playing hard R&B like Dr Feelgood.
- Pirates are those such as Arabella Drummond and Carlton Collins who commit crimes (including theft) on the high seas in their ships (examples include The Bold Adventure and Swiftbuck). More information can be found in the Pirateology books. Captain William Lubber was a professional pirate hunter.
- "Arrrrrr....blast Thy Peter Pan and his atrocious band of Lost Boys, our Captain Hook will defeat them all!" -Peter Pan Pirates are the antagonistic group of foul mouthed and murderous criminal men who work for Captain Hook. They live on Hook's pirate ship in Neverland and are a major part of the Peter Pan story. They first appeard in J. M. Barrie's classic children's novel titled Peter and Wendy, published in 1911.
- The Pirates are the main characters that the players control in Mutiny.
- Pirates are outlaw marauders of the seas surrounding the Shattered Isles. Their only motivation is greed and their primary purpose is to gain wealth in any way possible. They are very untrusting, and do not make any alliances except to their own benefit. They can frequently be seen raiding Liberty Bay, and when they are approached by groups of players, they seem to target the weakest ones first. In other words, Challenge spell is useless while fighting Pirates because they will always attack a lowest-level player. Most pirates are weak to Fire Damage.
- Pirates (PIE-rat) are a race of mythological aquatic humanoids created by Liberals and Communists to support their hair-brained theories of global warming and evolution and to celebrate their hatred of Our Lord and Savior. Fascist propaganda tells stories about pirates celebrating larceny, alcoholism, and poor speech habits, all known properties of Liberals (created in their own image, one would say).
- Pirates are a type of military squad in Tropico 5. They are referred to as Corsair Pirates and are only present during the Colonial Era. Pirates can invade the island with troops varying from one to three squads of eight men each. Pirates usually attack when the colony is making a hefty profit through trade, but they can also appear if the Governor decides to insult the Pirate King. If the pirates successfully destroy the targeted building, they will plunder half of the money in the Treasury.
- Pirates are a notorious menace in the Item World, appearing in Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories, Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice, and Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten. These roving bands of enemies appear on random floors to attack the player. They are often strong and difficult to defeat, as their levels are higher than normal enemies. To encounter pirates, you need to spend at least one turn on any floor in the Item World. There is a chance that Pirates will show up on turns 2, 3 or even later, but a Turn 1 absence normally means that the Pirates will not appear.
- Pirates is a series/season 2 episode of The Mr. Men Show.
- The Pirates had the first appearance in Worms: Open Warfare 2. They were available in the game's first campaign mission. Worm 1: Loot Worm 2: Splice Worm 3: Britches Worm 4: Grog
- Pirates operate on many worlds in the lawless Terminus Systems. Some make their living by scavenging from shipping lanes, or running lightning raids on lightly-defended outposts. Often pirates will also be involved in slaving, gun running and many other types of criminal endeavours. They usually hide out on uncharted worlds, often in abandoned bases or deep underground. Though pirates are by their nature independent bands looking out for number one, they do acknowledge leaders who prove their ruthlessness or prowess in battle. Their ships are no match for a real warship, but pose a genuine danger to unarmed merchant vessels.
- Pirates are a group of characters in the LEGO Universe. Although they can be found in many worlds, they are primarily based in Gnarled Forest, under the leadership of Captain Jack Knife. Though several Pirates are affiliated with Venture League, most are self spoken and are quite fed up with the Venture League's interference in their lives. Many enjoyed living alone in Gnarled Forest, as the rocket launchpads were not constructed until the greedy pirate disaster.

- Faction members are easily identified by their dreadlocks and brightly coloured outfits.They carry Machine Pistols, Pistols, Shotguns, AK-47 variant of the Assault Rifles, RPGs and Anti-Air Missiles. Their vehicles are painted bright green and yellow and often display flame decals. They have two naval units: the Culican Cutter and the jet ski. They are hostile towards all factions in the game, and thus their own targets and HVT contracts are indiscriminate and target all factions. The Pirates operate an smuggling of weapons, endangered birds, rum, human organs (for humanitarian purposes as seen in "Black Market Warm Heart"), civilian and VZ vehicles.
- The Pirates recently took over the party apparatus of the former Cavalier Party. It is uncertain what is the fate of the former Cavalier Party leader, Prince Frederick. He may be kidnapped or dead. What is certain is that he has been robbed. Aye! I be seein' that ye made it to our humble wiki! Well! Sit ye down and I'll be tellin' ye all about our wee party me lads n' lasses! Ye see, me thinks our good Cap'n Morgan said in best, we come here not to here ye belly ache, but to seek money! And that's what we be aimin' to do! If'n ye get in our way, we'll KEEL HAUL THE LOT O' YE!
- It was a blustery day. The wind was stiff, but not hurricane force by any means. And there was moisture in the air. not uncommon on Cybertron, but definitely not that common either. There were clouds overhead, hiding the ever-present stars from being seen from the suburbs' half lit terrain. Shark has begun patrolling around Iacon, just checking on the perimeter for any issues that have to be addressed. The wind and moisture don't really bother him. Civilians Scatter Jade says, "Well, one of you boys should fly up there and deal with that problem." You say, "Fisticuffs or I shoot you to death."
- Most people believe that the standard pirate tactic is a fast assault on a lone ship, usually a freighter or spaceliner. The pirates try to disable the victim's drives and maneuver jets and then board her. Everything of value is removed from the ship, including passengers and crew in many cases, who can be used as slaves at the pirate base. Sometimes the passengers and crew are not kidnapped, but left on board the drifting hulk, hoping for rescue before their life support runs out.
- Since man first walked on land and realized what a drag it was, he had always yearned to return to the sea. With this in mind, and man's inherent nature for violence, debauchery, and hilarity, Pirates were born. They took what the land gave them- wood, fabric, food, liquor, and made their way back to the sea, living as they wanted, free of the tyranny of dry land and the landlubbers that remained. Several pirates took on entirely new identities, and some even broke free of the seas, taking to another great blue infinity- the sky. Pirates were always a wily sort, traveling port to port and making themselves known, killing ninjas here and there and avoiding any law that came crashing down upon them with simple wit and cannon fire. In the latter half of the last millennium, piracy had dwindle

- The Pirates are a faction in Far Cry 3 and in The Far Cry Experience located on the Rook Islands' northern island. They are led by the mentally unstable and psychotic Vaas Montenegro. Fuelled by the lust for money, they came to the Rook Islands to rape, pillage and steal. They are the first enemy faction that Jason Brody encounters and can usually be found patrolling the island or at outposts and are easily distinguishable from the Privateers, Rakyat and common villagers by their red clothing.
- Pirates are an independent faction in Puzzle Quest Galactrix. Pirates are not one of the "Megacorps" unlike MRI, Trident, Cytech and Lumina. Pirates can be considered a lesser version of the Soulless as they both instantly become enemies of the main character. A Pirate system would usually be an Orange like colour and have 2 asteroids (depending on whether it was a mining system or not). The asteroids in a Pirate system are likely to contain valuable materials e.g Contraband, Medicine, Crystalls. Pirates usually control rim systems

- Occasionally, the ferries between Selbina and Mhaura are attacked by Pirates. When the pirate boat pulls alongside, three Humes will walk onto the deck and begin summoning skeletons on the ferry's deck. The pirates you will face are the skeletons, not the humes on the other ship.
* Rate of pirates per ferry trip: (15.3%)
* Spawn rate of the pirate NM per ferry trip: (4%) The skeletons that appear on the deck of the ferry behave like other skeletons: they will aggro by sound and low HP, but do not link. The safest place to be if you do not wish to fight the skeletons is below deck.
