The Columbia Symphony Orchestra was founded by Columbia Records a Symphony Orchestra. With the name were different orchestras that were made for creating record recordings. In the 1950s and early 1960s , the Columbia Symphony Orchestra from members of New York Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Metropolitan Opera, and the NBC Symphony Orchestra. From 1957 was named also a Symphony Orchestra referred to specifically for the conductor Bruno Walter was composed. It consisted mostly of musicians from the American west coast. Walter took with the Orchestra performances of symphonies by Beethoven, Brahms, Mozart and Mahler on that high strike correctly.
