The French Imperial Colony of Singapore, more commonly referred to as Singapore, is a populous colony of the French Empire located at the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula. Singapore's official language is French, although English, Chinese, Malay, Bengali and Tamil are common as well. The capital of Singapore is the city of Singapore, which has itself a population of five million, and a million more inhabitants live on the three territories on the mainland. Thus, while having the smallest population of any of France's major colonies, Singapore is the densest, most affluent and most independently influential in world economic affairs.

In 2007, France granted Algeria and Canada full home-rule status as part of a colonial reform, and Emperor Maurice Napoleon I has announced a similar measure will be afforded to Singapore and French West Africa in 2012 or 2013. As of now, there is currently a transitional authority in place working with the local government to move to home rule.
