Once the very symbol of counterculture in the 1960s and 1970s, the Volkswagen Kombi has also become a well-loved part of West-Coast surfing culture and are world famous for their old-school charm. The Hot Wheels casting portrays a first-generation model of the Iconic Volkswagen Kombi. The first generation Volkswagen Kombi was produced in Germany, Brazil and Australia from the 1950s up to 1967. The Hot Wheels casting shows a customized delivery variant with an open tailgate and surfboards jutting out the back. There is also a huge exhaust pipe and two small stabilizer wheels on the rear of the vehicle.
