M'Raq, son of K'Ton was a male Klingon warrior, the head of the House of M'Raq, mate of Tarilla, and father of Klag and Dorrek. M'Raq joined the Klingon Defense Force circa 2330, eventually rising to the rank of commander, and assigned as first officer of the IKS K'mqar. In 2360, the K'mqar went into battle against Romulan forces. The K'mqar was defeated, and M'Raq was taken prisoner and tortured. (TNG novel: Diplomatic Implausibility) Though much of the story of Klag's father was established in "A Matter of Honor", he went unnamed until Diplomatic Implausibility.

(TNG novel: Diplomatic Implausibility) He eventually escaped, returning to Qo'noS early in 2365. In light of his service record, and because he had not betrayed the Empire during his imprisonment, M'Raq was never formally censured by the High Council. However, he also made no effort to regain the honor that was taken from him by his capture, chosing instead to await death. Although Tarilla and Dorrek accepted him, Klag could not forgive his dishonor, and did not speak to him for the rest of his life. (TNG episode: "A Matter of Honor"; TNG novel: Diplomatic Implausibility) M'Raq died in early 2376. Following his death, Klag had M'Raq's right arm grafted onto his own body, to replace the limb lost in the Battle of Marcan V, and in an effort for the son to restore his father's honor. (TNG novel: Diplomatic Implausibility) Though much of the story of Klag's father was established in "A Matter of Honor", he went unnamed until Diplomatic Implausibility.
