C'è un solo unico ostacolo a questo amore e il principe assolda Geralt per risolverlo. Quando il witcher fallisce nel tentativo di convincere la sirena ad abbandonare la sua vita nell'oceano e unirsi ad Agloval, il principe decide di pagarlo invece per investigare sulle misteriosi morti dei vari cercatori di perle della sua terra. Er könnte sich jedoch auch (mehr) Sorgen darum machen, dass der Gewinn durch die Perlenfischerei zurückgeht, wenn sich niemand mehr traut aufs Meer hinauszufahren, solange dort ein See-Ungeheuer lauert. Als Geralt ihm von der Unterwasserstadt Ys, den Ys Kriegern erzählt und warnt, bei den Drachenhauern und weiter hinaus nach Perlen zu fischen, zeigt sich Agloval uneinsichtigt. Er ist jedoch fassungslos vor Glück, als er sieht, dass Sh'eenaz ihm entgegenkommt, sich Beine zaubern ließ und zu ihm aufs Festland zieht.
