Roberto Romano (born October 10, 1962 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada) is a retired Canadian ice hockey goaltender. Romano started his National Hockey League career with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1982. He would also play for the Boston Bruins. He retired after the 1994 season. He played junior hockey for the Quebec Remparts and the Hull Olympiques, finishing on the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League first all-star team with the latter team in 1981-82. Despite that he was not drafted by an NHL team. The Pittsburgh Penguins signed him as a free agent in 1982.

Romano started his National Hockey League career with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1982. He would also play for the Boston Bruins. He retired after the 1994 season. He played junior hockey for the Quebec Remparts and the Hull Olympiques, finishing on the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League first all-star team with the latter team in 1981-82. Despite that he was not drafted by an NHL team. The Pittsburgh Penguins signed him as a free agent in 1982. For three seasons (1982-83 to 1984-85) he split his time between the Penguins and the Baltimore Skipjacks. In 1985-86 he finally spent the entire season withe the NHL team and had a Goals against average of 3.55. He was traded to the Boston Bruins the next season. Romano moved to Italy in 1987-88 and played there until 1993-94. In that season he moved back to North America and played for the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Cleveland Lumberjacks. He has also Italian citizenship, and played for the Italian national ice hockey team
