  • Aslund was a self-governing planet whose sole wormhole led to the Hegen Hub. They had an agricultural-based economy and were not wealthy. Their initial response to fears of war in the Hegen Hub was to begin construction of a major military station to supplement their much simpler previous one and to hire a band of mercenaries to protect them while their fortress was still under construction. The mercenaries they hired went by the name of Oseran Mercenaries; they'd previously been known as the Dendarii Mercenaries, but had recently reverted to their yet-earlier name.

Afraid of ghem aggression in the invasion of Vervain, Aslund joined the Hegen Alliance to counter the Cetagandan Empire.
