Canterbury Park is a public park located in the center of Canterbury. It was officially opened on 25 May 1978 and was the first public park to be opened in Canterbury. It was designed by Alexander Geaton. It has a total area of around 15 acres (61,000 m2) and is planted with trees, shrubs and flowers. The centre of the park features an enclosed area which is inhabited by animals such as birds, rabbits and guinea pigs. In the park is also a statue of Francis Lewis Jr., one of the oldest people in Lovia. He was a famous professor and businessperson.
