Aunt Em and Uncle Henry in Oz, subtitled A Traditional Tale of Oz, is a modern Oz book written by March Laumer, with interior artwork by David Maxine. Aunt Em and Uncle Henry visit the house the cyclone took to Oz eighty-one years ago to get back a thimble. While there she begins acting strangely and her skin turns gray. She has come under the influence of the spirit of Gingemma, the Wicked Witch of the East, and begins making Powder of Life. With the aid of reformed villain Oorfene Deuce (from Alexander Volkov's Magic Land books), Uncle Henry sets out to rescue his wife.
