The Shalimar Diamond was an artifact inherited by Helen Margaret Seymour from her distant cousin Roger. In April 1912, Miss Seymour and Indiana Jones set sail from England to the USA on the Titanic. During the voyage, a fellow passenger, Professor Khan of Calcutta University, informed her that the diamond had been looted from an Indian temple. She later passed the artifact to Khan to see its return to India but when disaster befell the Titanic, the professor gave the Shalimar Diamond back to Miss Seymour, trusting that she would get the artifact home.
