The 2016 presidential elections of the Republic of the Southern Indian Ocean Islands (French: élections présidentielles de la République des Îles australes de l'Océan Indien de 2016) were held on October 28, 2016, to elect the president of the Republic of the Southern Indian Ocean Islands for the sixteenth time. The election saw a president win with the second largest majority in the history of the Republic, falling short of the 84% majority with which Eleanor Johnson won her reelection in 1996.

| - The 2016 presidential elections of the Republic of the Southern Indian Ocean Islands (French: élections présidentielles de la République des Îles australes de l'Océan Indien de 2016) were held on October 28, 2016, to elect the president of the Republic of the Southern Indian Ocean Islands for the sixteenth time. Participating in the elections were three independent candidates: incumbent president Fréderique Lafélâtabvre, deputy of the Federal Assembly Anna Ferguson, and member of the Assembly of the Crozet Archipelago Ludo La Celle. Lafélâtabvre won with nearly three-quarters of the vote, a landslide victory. The election saw a president win with the second largest majority in the history of the Republic, falling short of the 84% majority with which Eleanor Johnson won her reelection in 1996.
