The Isle Transportation Company was a bus operator organized in 1946 to take over the bus routes of the Staten Island Coach Co. in Staten Island (the borough of Richmond in New York City) when the latter company went out of business. It was organized by Staten Island Coach Co. employees. Its own existence was only a short time, as it went bankrupt in 1947, and the city took over the buses on Feb. 23 of that year.
