Darth Nihilus and Darth Sion were also familiar with this power, and it was assumed that they learned it at the Trayus Academy on Malachor V. The power itself was considered to be very powerful, as it was a collection of several other dark side powers. The two necessary powers to create Veranshar were Force Lightning and Force Drain. Depending on the user's power in the Force, they would be able to increase Force Choke, Force Slow, Force Push, Force Pull, Force Maelsrom and Stasis Field.

One secret that Kundun discovered that by pointing his hand to the air, the power would diminish and would be directed to a range of three hundred and sixty degrees. In this case, the user could also use Force Wave or Repulse, though this last one was considered to be a last resort.
