abstract
  • The Computational Intellect Project (CIP) was a computationally intelligent supercomputer acting as a political party and many other organizations in Barmenistan. It was created through efforts from the Barmenian Science and Technology Ministry on behalf of the generous funds granted towards the ministry by the Barmenistan Council of Intellectualism (BCI). The Computational Intellect Project began activity in politics on 1 July, 2500, following the mysterious and quiet disbandment of the Barmenistan Council of Intellectualism (BCI) for reasons which are as of yet unknown. The President, a member of the BCI, then seemingly submitted voluntarily under the direct control of the CIP as a puppet until his term was served out. Not much was known about the CIP. It functioned in the government by using robots under its direct control as legislative members, cabinet members, and presidential candidates. Apparently the CIP became jealous, power hungry, or its ideology was some form of statism, because it attempted a massive coup over the nation of Barmenistan. In the end, however, it was utterly defeated, although millions lay dead and the capital city of Barmenistan, Kathre, in total ruins.
