| - Flak was a projectile weapon that was often used by ground forces to attack aerial units. During the Clone Wars, the Confederacy of Independent Systems utilized Proton Cannons armed with flak cells as ammunition to defend their besieged worlds against Republic invasions, such as the second battle of Geonosis. It was also used by the Malevolence, the massive warship of General Grievous, in space battles to rip apart the enemy vessels.

- Flak is a former slaver from Paradise Falls who now lives in Rivet City with his partner Shrapnel. Together they run the Flak 'N Shrapnel's weapons store in the marketplace in the year 2277.
- First deployed in 1982. A Greenshirt used a FLAK when Cobra raided a G.I. Joe airbase to destroy the Skystrikers there. It, apparently, can do a double duty as an anti-aircraft artillery.

- Flak (Known as Kong 「コング」 in the original and Helmut in European version of the game) is a Black Hole CO. First appearing in Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising, where he is ordered to take out Orange Star. He was originally a low ranking soldier, but was promoted to his current rank by Hawke from private. Flak's helmet is based off German helmets and Max calls him an ape man. Flak's ability and CO powers focus on taking the chance to deal more damage, but at the risk of also dealing less damage than normal. This is called Dispersion. At first appearance, he resembles Jugger a lot, because they have the similar abilities, and their CO power and even their Super CO power are almost identical. Flak's abilities rely solely on luck, so it might be advisable to equip him with the Luck-Skill.

They do decent amount of damage to anything that flies, and can temporarily disable hoverballs. Flak fire small missiles that almost always hit its target. Flak was added in the WM:RTS Gamemode
- Flak is a type of projectile mainly used in anti-air warfare. Flak burst in mid air causing it to hit several enemies at once. It does little damage per shot, but the fact that it can hit several targets at once makes up for this. Flak is best used against enemy Gunships, transports and Tech 1 units, due to their low health.
- Flak, from the German Fliegerabwehrkanone, aircraft defence cannon, is a type of aircraft-launched munition commonly found in Crimson Skies. Flak rockets are the most effective anti-aircraft rocket used in Crimson Skies. While flak rockets have a shorter range than HE rockets, a flak rocket explodes into a large black cloud of metal shards. These shards punch through armor and internal components, inflicting heavy damage on any aircraft that travels through the cloud. The cloud disperses after a few seconds. Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge has no equivalent weapon.
- Flak is a weapon type found on both the TEC Loyalist and the TEC Rebel titans, Ankylon and Ragnarov-class. Both have four launchers facing forward, and four aft. These launchers send out munitions that detonate some distance away from the target, blanketing it with a cloud of shrapnel rather than a single shell. This allows the Titan to deal damage to strike craft, but is used against any target that gets within range. There are no upgrades for it. Its Advent and Vasari equivalents are collectively known as Point Defense.
