  • Park Court is a 6 storey tower block on Fir Tree Grove, in the Boldmere area of Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham. The block was approved in 1961 and completed in 1964, becoming Sutton Coldfield's first tower block. It originally contained 35 flats. In 2001, the block was refurbished at a cost of £1.2 million. Mainly housing elderly residents, a common room was constructed on the side of the tower block to a design by David Cauldwell Architects. The original building had a common room which was a converted flat on the ground floor. This was well used by the elderly residents, and was a focal point for social activities during the day, but was too small for their needs and had very poor links to the outside spaces.
