Edward John Thompson was a watchmaker and local politician in Clerkenwell. Resident at 5&6 Percival Street, he was an assistant of the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers. Elected to Clerkenwell Vestry, he was the parish's representative on the Metropolitan Board of Works from 1866-1883.
