Justin Played in 186 junior games in the Western Hockey League (WHL) and Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) scoring 80 goals and recording 83 assists. Justin began his professional career in the 2004-05 season with the Lubbock Cotton Kings of the Central Hockey League (CHL) scoring 12 goals and recording 8 assists in 58 games. In the 2005-06 season Justin moved from the Tulsa Oilers of the CHL to the Florida Seals of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) scoring 26 goals and 33 assists in 51 games and was leading the team in points (37) and goals (22) when the Seals ceased operations mid-season of 2006-07. Justin was Drafted by Pee Dee Cyclones (SPHL) in a dispersal draft and acquired by the Huntsville Havoc (SPHL) via trade. With the Havoc Justin Played in only 8 games scoring 1 goal and recorded 7 assists and also played in 2 playoff games scoring 3 assists. In the 2007-08 season with the Havoc Justin continued to excel leading the team (as of 22 January 2008) in assists and points and 2nd in goals. Justin also set a new team record on 24 November 2007 scoring 6 points, the most points recorded in a Huntsville Havoc game. The game was agents the Columbus Cottonmouths (SPHL). Justin was traded to the Fayetteville FireAntz (SPHL) on January 28, 2008 for Jordan Weibel, Edan Welch and future considerations.
