Measure, in Japanese Soku (measure, fathom), is one of the various functions that can be equipped on to the Camera Obscura. This function allows the nearest hostile ghost's health to be displayed while they are within the Capture Circle. The ghost's health appears as a small yellow meter that depletes as damage is dealt. The "measure" function is first seen as an obtainable function in Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly, as the ability to sense the ghost's health was already built into the camera in Fatal Frame.

- The measure tool can be used to find the length of any straight line. The tool has many options for units of measure, both standard and metric. To open the measure tool, press ctrl+6 or scroll down the "tools" menu and click on it. To use this tool, simply click the location you wish to start at and move the cursor to the desired endpoint and click again. This will measure the line drawn, and the length will be displayed in the box. To change the unit of measure, click on the arrow next to the word "miles" and select the unit you would like to display.
