  • The Hideki-class attack ship, also referred to as a Cardassian shuttle or Cardassian fighter, was a type of small warship, or patrol ship, used by the Cardassian military during the 24th century. (DS9 episodes: "Profit and Loss", "The Maquis, Part I", "Tribunal", "Call to Arms", "Sacrifice of Angels", "Tacking Into the Wind", "What You Leave Behind"; DS9 reference: Deep Space Nine Technical Manual; ST video game: Star Trek Online) Star Trek: Deep Space Nine alternately identifies ships of this profile as "Hideki-class shuttles" and "Cardassian shuttles". The Technical Manual uses the term "Cardassian fighter". Star Trek Online uses the Hideki-class name.
  • The Hideki Class is a type of Patrol Ship used by the Cardassians.
  • The Hideki-class was a patrol ship and attack ship utilised by the Cardassian Union during the 24th century. While the Hideki was often referred to as a fighter Cardassian Central Command technically considered it a fast attack ship. (Ship Recognition Manual, Volume 2: Starships of the Cardassian Union) At least one Hideki-class ship (transcribed Hidekiy in the Star Trek: Sigils and Unions continuity) was involved in the Battle of Rondac III that began the Cardassian resistance movement. The pilot dropped out of warp mere kilometers away from a Breen warship, smashing through the ship's shields at .99c before it could autoevade, destroying both vessels. A number of ships of this type were also captured by the Thirteenth Order rebels and used as part of their strike force...a feat made possible because these ships can be operated by a crew of three even though a larger crew is optimal. (Star Trek: Sigils and Unions--The Thirteenth Order)
