P2P-SIP is the combination of Peer-to-peer (P2P) networks and the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). This combination can improve survivability and scalability, as well as enabling new applications. There are two ways of combining P2P and SIP: P2P over SIP, and SIP over P2P.
