George S. Pilkington was a steamer and ocean liner joining America with Europe. In June 1920, Henry Walton Jones, Senior took the steamer to travel to Europe and resume his quest for the Holy Grail. During the trip, he met a young woman at dinner who impressed him with her frank talk about female emancipation, speakeasies, and scandalous theories of Sigmund Freud. Jones had his thoughts on romance until he realized that the woman was the same age as his own son.
