Eduardo Rodrigo "Teddy" Alvarez (born October 17, 1961) is an American Democratic politician and the current Governor of Peninsula. Elected in 2008 on a platform of solving the Peninsula water crisis and helping the state recover from its fiscal and economic malaise, Alvarez's success in lowering unemployment, tackling public pension debt and funding water pipelines for drought-stricken southern Peninsula led to his overwhelming reelection in 2012.
