The SVA participated in the 33 BBY Eriadu Trade Summit, where they presumably spoke against letting the Trade Federation arm itself. Backing Militarists, the SVA were devoted advocates for an establishment of a standing Republic military, especially in the lead-up to the Clone Wars, and at least once publicly criticized Padmé Amidala for her pacifist views, in particular her implication that those who advocate for war or serve in war are cowards. Dorits responded on the late night show Essence by stating that Amidala's statements were "disgraceful, stupid and typical", as well as pointing out that it was soldiers who had liberated her home planet from Trade Federation occupation.
