| - Dinamo Vologda is a Uralican football (soccer) club, which plays in the Bolakliiga. It started out largely as a semi-professional club, toiling in the lower levels of the Soviet and later the Russian systems. Founded as Lokomotiv Vologda in 1926, it changed its name to its present name in 1966. It did not participate in the inaugural Bolakliiga season, however it finished upper mid-table (9th, that is) in the 2009 season, tied in the points with Telekom Pazhga but ahead of them based on having both better goal differential and more wins.

Pre-Cataclysm, its most successful year was 1992, where they finished sixth in the Russian Pervaya Divizion (second level). In 2000, they missed qualification for the Pervaya Divizion only by two points in finishing second, but the next two times they finished second ('03 and '05), they were off by far more. After Cataclysm, they played in national and regional tournaments until the city's annexation by Uralica in July of 2008, always seeming to finish behind teams from nearby Cherepovets. Their first silverware finally came in late 2008, where they edged Sheksna Cherepovets 3-2 in the final to win the Vologda Oblast Cup in its last season. It did not participate in the inaugural Bolakliiga season, however it finished upper mid-table (9th, that is) in the 2009 season, tied in the points with Telekom Pazhga but ahead of them based on having both better goal differential and more wins. In the 2009 Kanslerinkilpi, they made it to the quarterfinals before losing to Zavod Ural Solikamsk, who would in turn lose to Sikkivukarin Palloseura the following round. Their biggest upset en-route (not a particularly big one) was beating Kirovin JK in the round of 16. They lost to Spartak Ukhta in the Round of 16 in 2010.
