Apparently, Gaspar owned a market and offered an adult counterpart to child-like Bluki, without reaching the intellectual extremes of Bubo. When he laughes out loud, it sounded similar like Ernie's laugh. Gaspar never reached the peak of popularity of other Spanish Muppets from previous periods of Barrio Sésamo.
