Like others of Amonwelle's children, Niirphar stayed with his father until he was old enough to travel to the crystal palace. His father traveled with him, unwilling to be parted from his only child, and lived and died in the nearby village.

Like Diligence, Niirphar preferred the name given to him by his mortal father, rather than the one bestowed upon him by Amonwelle at birth. It's not specified whether "Niirphar" was Amonwelle's name for him, or his father's. Niirphar became Dreamwright after Manwen's death, and according to Amonwelle, he served her well. At the age of forty, Niiprhar was killed by one of Dubiel's attacks on the crystal palace. Eventually, Hitch became the new Dreamwright.
