- Snow Leopard (official name Mac OS X 10.6) is the latest version of Apple's Mac OS X operating system, following Leopard (Mac OS X 10.5). Snow Leopard Server, an update to Apple's Mac OS X Server operating system, will be released along side it. Apple previewed Snow Leopard and released a finalized developer beta at the WWDC keynote on June 8, 2009. The OS will be released in September 2009.

- Snow Leopards live in mountainous areas of central Asia. They have grey-green eyes and long, thick, gray fur with dark spots. The legs are comparatively short, with large, broad paws. They are accomplished at climbing rocky crags. As tigers grow scarce, snow leopards are hunted to make remedies from their bones. They are also killed because they prey on livestock. There may be only 5,400 snow leopards left.

- The snow leopard (Uncia uncia or Panthera uncia), sometimes known as ounce, is a moderately large cat native to the mountain ranges of Central Asia. The classification of this species has been subject to change and its exact taxonomic position will not be resolved until further studies are conducted.

It has a thick layer of soft under-fur covered by thick, long hair.
