She is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Laguna Beach Chamber Music Society. Her recent activities led her to promote solar cooking in a recently published book called Energy Savers That Work (). This comprehensive book cites solar cooking as the most energy efficient way to cook, as well as being the most cost-effective way to use solar energy at home. She currently lives in sunny Phoenix and enjoys cooking many of her meals in her three solar ovens, and coming up with new recipes to share with others on her website.
