| - Mokushiroku (黙示録; lit. rendered The Apocalypse) is a mythological cataclysmic event foretold by the Arkōn Kanmon, who received a vision on his deathbed. As said by the Arkōn Kanmon, Mokushiroku was to be the most catastrophic conflict to ever be witnessed, marked by the outbreak of a ruinous global-scale war between "two roads of many paths", and "many powers of two paths". Although its meaning was ignored for many centuries, the samurai of later generations, who witnessed the rise of the shinobi and later their nations, came to believe that the Arkōn Kanmon was foreseeing a war between the samurai and the shinobi. In an effort to prevent it by any means, the samurai locked their boarders from the shinboi world, and eventually each other, to prevent interaction between them, and in effect, prevent Mokushiroku. Even many years after the samurai world separated itself from the shinobi world, there are many samurai, such as the Seishinshogun, that believe Mokushiroku is an inevitable occurrence.
