The DeKalb County Liners are a member of the summer collegiate Prospect League, playing their home games at Founders Field in Sycamore, Illinois. DeKalb County ended play in 2011 after just two seasons when the out-of-state owner of the team decided the Liners were no longer profitable. Though competitive on the field and appreciated by avid local baseball fans who spent two nostalgic summers at Founders Field, crowds became sparse at times and reality never quite met ownership expectations.
