Like Marth's Dancing Blade, this move will execute another attack that leads into a combo each time the button is pressed. Unlike Dancing Blade, the cutlass will not glow a certain color and will not change height of an attack's launch based on the tilt of the control stick; instead, the range of the attack change depending on how long the button is pressed each time it is pushed; quick taps result in short-ranged slashes close to Tetra, while holding the button will result in a broad, wide-ranged slash with greater reach away from Tetra; the cutlass does more damage at the base for short-ranged attacks and more at the tip on long-ranged ones, rewarding proper use and execution of the move with more damage.
