| - Martio Pavan was a Corellian officer in the Imperial Navy of the Galactic Empire, and later of the Imperial Remnant. He was known as a brilliant tactician, and attained the rank of Fleet Admiral prior to the Battle of Endor. After the death of Emperor Palpatine at Endor in 4 ABY, he became an ally of Grand Vizier Sate Pestage, who promoted him to Grand Admiral. A native of Corellia, Pavan was accepted into and graduated the Imperial City Naval College. He initially served as a lieutenant aboard the Victory I-class Star Destroyer Contagion. In 11 BBY, the ship's captain and most of the crew decided to attempt a coup d'état against Emperor Palpatine. The coup was thwarted largely due to the efforts of Pavan. As a result, he was promoted to captain and awarded the Emperor's Will medal. In the following year, Captain Pavan fought and defeated the Red Nova pirate organization, which was using old reactivated Separatist technology. Later, in 2 BBY, for his loyalty and skill as an officer, he was promoted to the rank of Vice Admiral. The Corellian officer took part in defending Kamino from a Rebel attack in 1 BBY, though the Empire was ultimately defeated in the battle. During the Galactic Civil War, Pavan took part in many battles, even serving under the personal command of Darth Vader on different occasions. He fought in battles at Jabiim, Zaloriis, Chorax, and Boz Pity. In 3 ABY, shortly after taking part in the Battle of Hoth, the Corellian was promoted to the rank of Fleet Admiral. Leading up to the Battle of Endor, he took part in the efforts to take out treasonous Admirals Harkov and Demetrius Zaarin.
