Cala Drive is a group of low rise houses in the Edgbaston area of Birmingham. Designed by John Madin, the houses are situated on the site of a bombed house in Carpenter Road. The road runs down one side of the site with houses set forward and back along its length. At the end are two terraces of houses at right angles enclosing a group of trees. The balconies add considerably to the appearance but are not extensively used, perhaps because the living rooms are on the ground floor. They do, however, add privacy as the cross walls screen the bedroom windows from neighbouring blocks. The houses were built in 1962.
