Paul Trollope achieved his 100th win as Bristol Rovers manager thanks to an injury time winner from Byron Anthony in this League One match. Jo Kuffour gave Rovers the lead late in the first half, and Yeovil's JP Kalala was given his marching orders mid way through the second period. As is often the way however, the ten men outplayed the eleven and Adam Virgo netted an equaliser just a minute from time to seemingly secure a point for the Somerset club. Rovers had other ideas however, and Anthony snatched victory for the Pirates in the fourth minute of added time.

The game also saw Andy Williams return to Rovers as an opposition player for the first time since leaving the club at the end of the previous season, and the Yeovil team also included Jean-Paul Kalala, who would go on to join Rovers just five months later, as well as Adam Virgo, who would join Rovers in the summer of 2011.
