It was host to several podracing tracks which passed through many diverse locations, including volcanoes, swamps, wide, sandy beaches, spectacular waterfalls, thick jungles, sulfur geyser fields, and plateau-top cities. Some of the inhabited moons of Baroonda included Dirama, Pitrono, Metrmal, Nicale, and Promanda.

Cette planète géante est entourée de dix-huit lunes parmi lesquelles on trouve Dirama, Pitrono, Metrmal, Nicale et Promanda. Toutefois, aucune d'entre elles n'est habitable. Les Majans, une race intelligente native de Baroonda, ont construit entre l'an 50 et 40 av.BY une métropole à l'architecture moderne. La cité de Baroo est la capitale officielle de la planète. La dernière chose remarquable dans la géographie de cette planète sont les parcelles de désert creusées de tranchées tortueuses qui sont probablement le résultat de rivières asséchées qui auraient parcourues ces zones autrefois. Le secteur est situé juste au-dessus d'un ensemble de failles sismiques qui pourraient être à l'origine du relief très particulier de cet endroit. C'est en tous les cas la cause des très fréquents tremblements de terre qui provoquent parfois des éboulements, mais qui ne sont jamais venus à bout des statues qui y sont édifiés. S'il y a bien une chose pour laquelle cette variété géologique est appréciable c'est à coup sûr pour les courses de modules. Même si les parcours les plus appréciés des spectateurs comptent un nombre important d'accidents, les pilotes en quête de nouveaux défis se font nombreux surtout pendant les années 30 av.BY (âge d'or du Podracing). C'est d'ailleurs à ce moment que les vols de vaisseaux de la Fédération du Commerce se sont faits très intenses. Une rumeur prétend que Nicale (lune à faible gravité) aurait abrité des troupes de la CSI durant la Guerre des Clones.
