  • A Barracuda-series Plant-signature Seeking Warhead is a homing concussion missile used for ship-to-ship combat. It was designed and produced by StarShield Industries with the assistance of CDMC and is currently manufactured by two contracted firms located in the Outer Rim. Currently, the Barracuda is fielded in two different scales — a capital ship-scale variant used heavily by the Caspian Navy in their VOWL-equipped cruisers and frigates as an all-purpose "smart" weapon, and as a fighter-scale version for use in FOWL-equipped fighters and bombers. It is best employed as an anti-starcraft weapon, but can be directed against any installation or structure that possesses a powerplant signature. The host craft's sensor and targeting system will calculate a solution based on the target's generated harmonic wave, and will pass it on to the missile's onboard guidance computer. Once fired, the missile will track that solution for several thousand kilometers until detonated, countered, or exhausted.
