Petro of Narbomart was a guise that Basil Argyros took on while travelling throughout the Franco-Saxon Kingdoms in 1315, during his investigation of their new hellish weapon. He chose the Ispanian port city of Narbomart because it was still in the hands of the Franco-Saxons but the natives more closely resembled him in appearance and their Latin was spoken in an accent similar to his own. Petro was a trader in amber with the pagan Lithuanianians. This gave Argyros a reason to be travelling though the various kingdoms that would not arouse suspicions.
